Uplift connects, trains, and mobilizes young people for climate justice across the Colorado Plateau and greater Southwest.

Uplift works for climate justice. We frame climate change as a social, political, and ethical issue by centering communities disproportionately impacted by extraction and rapid warming across the Colorado Plateau and greater Southwest. For the past five years, we have connected, trained, and supported hundreds of young people (ages 18-30) to take climate action at an annual for-youth, by-youth climate convergence. At the annual Uplift Climate Conference, we amplify stories from frontline communities and build relationships to support grassroots movements across the Four Corners. Beyond the conference, we aim to train and mobilize thousands of rising leaders year-round for a just transition to renewable and equitable energy economies, a safe climate, clean jobs, and a healthy environment. We are a place-based organization, rooted in the communities, desert landscapes, and precious waters of the Southwest.
