Mission

Founded in 2015 by activists living with HIV, The Reunion Project (TRP) is the national alliance on HIV long-term survival (HIV LTS), dedicated to connecting individuals and communities to share our experiences of survival and loss while honoring our past, in order to develop successful strategies for living and supporting one another today and into the future.

Purpose

TRP is the only national, community-based project that uses storytelling and network development to connect long-term survivors of HIV across all the communities most affected by the HIV pandemic in the United States. As such, we embody the principle of Meaningful Involvement of People with HIV/AIDS, also known as MIPA. We recognize the fundamental contributions of LTS in the epidemic as agents of change and justice, even as we link, train, support and strengthen LTS in being active participants in our communities and today’s HIV movement.
