Mission

The Final 5 Campaign invests in a community of currently and formerly incarcerated youth to lead a movement that calls on Illinois to close down the five youth prisons, fund community-directed resources & responses to harm, and ultimately end youth incarceration.

Purpose

The F5C provides support and leadership development opportunities to currently and formerly incarcerated youth. Our work uplifts the experiences of directly impacted youth to develop analysis and narratives that expose the harms of youth incarceration and generate public support for our mission. We weave intentional community building, restorative justice, mutual aid, and youth investment into our advocacy work; these practices exemplify the values of our vision of a world without youth incarceration.
