The mission of the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival is to support locally organized events that inspire K–12 students to think critically and to explore the richness and beauty of mathematics through collaborative, creative problem-solving.
A Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival offers students advanced and thought-provoking mathematics in a social and cooperative atmosphere. Our activities that have been traditionally used at in-person Festivals have been adapted for use in both in-person and digital environments. Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival activities are designed to open doors to higher mathematics for all K-12 students, from those struggling with mathematics to those soaring in achievement. Unlike most math events, our events even engage students who don’t enjoy competition or working under time pressure. A Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival event is also a community event, bringing together students, families, teachers, and organizations in celebration of mathematics.
