Mission
The Health Justice Commons works at the intersections of gender, racial, disability, economic, and climate justice to support marginalized communities to re-imagine, re-design and revolutionize healthcare and healing for our times.
Purpose
The Health Justice Commons (HJC) works at the intersections of gender, disability, racial, environmental and economic justice to center communities most harmed and marginalized by the Medical Industrial Complex (MIC) to lead in creating healthcare alternatives. We provide health justice training, engage in movement building, and incubate community-led alternatives aimed at disrupting and transforming the MIC while alleviating the health burden of social injustice, environmental racism, and the legacies of intergenerational trauma driven by settler-colonialism and capitalism.
