Mission

The Coalition for Human Rights in Development is a global coalition of over 65 social movements, civil society organizations, and grassroots groups working to ensure that all development finance institutions respect, protect, and fulfill human rights.

Purpose

The Coalition brings its members together in coordinated advocacy toward development finance institutions, supports members to engage with their governments, and supports communities impacted by development activities, in order to increase the accountability of development finance vis a vis its impacts on human rights. We aim to bring greater coordination to a global movement led by impacted communities and supported by civil society organizations.
