Mission
Proactive strategies for preserving biodiversity.
Purpose
As we continue to face the loss of biodiversity, it has become evident that there is a great need for proactive conservation efforts. Focusing on the conservation of species before they reach to the point of needing to be federally or state listed is perhaps the most efficient and effective way to preserve natural diversity. Proactive conservation efforts are becoming increasingly important in forming relationships between government agencies, conservation nonprofits, land owners, and industry that will help lead to conservation of our native species. Given that proactive conservation efforts are sure to play a large role in the future of the Endangered Species Act, state wildlife action plans, and several other conservation initiatives, there is a need for a nonprofit organization that can provide unbiased and science based solutions for proactive approaches.
