Mission

The Center for Art and Abolition is a project that focuses on the intersection of social justice and social practice.

Purpose

The Center for Art and Abolition is an institution that will study, practice, and further theorize on the principles of abolition as an agent of change and transformation in the world. It is our firm belief that abolition offers necessary creativity, discipline, and possibility to reimagine the world as a more just, caring, and joyful place. Artists have been at the center of reminding us of our power to reimagine and reshape our world and the Center for Art and Abolition stands as an institution that will support abolitionist-artists through material and non-material resources to elevate and permeate the important artistry of these abolitionist creatives.
