Mission
CURB is a statewide coalition of more than 80 grassroots organizations. CURB’s three point mission is to reduce the number of incarcerated people in California; reduce the number of prisons and jails in our state; and shift wasteful spending away from incarceration and toward healthy community investments.
Mission
As a coalition, CURB’s work is deeply invested in collaboration and movement building across single issue movements and organizations. Our coalition members include groups as diverse as Trasgender, Gender Variant and Intersex Justice Project, Architects, Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility, Immigrants Youth Coalition, Bend the Arc, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), Homie UP, and many more groups dedicated to seeking racial, economic, environmental, and gender justice. Aside from our own member organizations, CURB actively engages with networks and movements throught the nation. Our commitment to collaborative work aligns strongly with SEE’s mission.
