Purpose

Building Bosses provides training and support services to youth of color and other marginalized workers seeking to be co-owners of a worker cooperative in the District of Columbia. Our trainees are primarily ages 18-35 and are either returning citizens or at risk of becoming trapped in the criminal justice system. Through skills-based training, community building, and holistic support services, our trainees will strengthen their ability to thrive in society, organize to make changes we need to create a more just world, and become owners of their own cooperative enterprises.
