Mission

Brown Issues is a California statewide youth-led advocacy organization, utilizing social emotional health support, civic engagement, and narrative change to help young people find their agency and create systematic change within their communities to improve the health of Californians.

Purpose

To build a statewide youth advocacy infrastructure and advance educational campaigns around diabetes awareness, positive school, health climate initiatives, need for universal health care coverage, and integrated voter engagement within historically disenfranchised communities. The statewide youth advocacy infrastructure would help advance policy shifts that get at the root causes that inhibit conditions most conducive to community well-being.
