Amplify Action Research (“Amplify”), a project of Spark Learning for Organizations, believes that evidence must be generated with, by, and for people with lived experience to drive meaningful child welfare system change.

Guided by the tenets of emancipatory action research, Amplify builds capacity and respectfully engages those with lived experience to meaningfully participate in child welfare system change and help improve outcomes for children, families, and communities. This approach avoids the traumatization and tokenization that often results from the ways policymakers and the research community have engaged these populations. Instead, we seek to equip individuals with lived experience with the skills of other leaders in the field so that meaningful improvements are conducted in partnership with, or led by, those closest to the experience of being within child welfare and other related service systems.
