Ads- Up aims to create financial and social support network for the 1250 refugees being resettled in the USA under a deal negotiated between the Obama administration and the conservative Australian government.

These refugees arriving in the United States are provided with 90 days of very limited assistance from resettlement agencies. After that, they’re on their own. We aim to fill the gap. our goal is to mobilize the great Aussie diaspora to do what our government failed to do: create a network of social support and provide necessary financial assistance. These refugees come from all over the world- Iran, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Burma. Most had to leave their homelands because of political or religious persecution. After several years of detention and isolation, many of these individuals and families face a difficult road to integration and normalcy.
