The vision of Soft Landing Missoula is to help Missoula be a welcoming, supportive and informed community that can assist refugees to integrate and thrive.
At the request of Soft Landing Missoula, the International Rescue Committee is opening a resettlement office in Missoula in July 2016. Montana has not officially resettled refugees in more than 30 years. The IRC plans to bring up to 100 refugees a year, from countries all over the world, to resettle in Missoula. SLM is committed to helping the Missoula community support and successfully integrate these refugees. SLM also aims to provide direct services to the refugees that may not be otherwise provided by an existing organization.
